Information we collect
When you post a home, we collect the property address, optional unit number, home details, selling preferences, your name, email address, and any phone number you choose to provide. We also receive ordinary technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as IP address, browser information, timestamps, and request logs.
How we use it
We use your information to validate the property, create and manage the listing competition, prevent abuse, communicate listing results, improve the service, and comply with applicable law. We do not sell homeowner contact information.
What agents can see
Participating agents can see the property address, optional unit, and home details needed to prepare a serious proposal. They cannot see your name, email address, or phone number. Agents cannot initiate a call, email, or text through AnyHomeSold; you choose whether and how to contact an agent.
Google Maps address services
We use Google Maps Platform for address suggestions and address validation. Text entered into the address-search control and related technical information may be processed by Google. Our server sends the property address—including an optional unit when provided—to Google Address Validation, but does not include your name, email, or phone number in that request.
Google’s handling of information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and Google Maps Platform Terms. We retain the homeowner-confirmed property address, the Google Place ID, and a minimal verification status; we do not retain the raw Google validation response.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — which pages people read, where they arrive from, and where they abandon the listing flow. This is measured with cookies and similar technologies, and it records ordinary technical information such as a truncated IP address, device and browser type, approximate region, and the pages you view. We enable IP anonymization.
We record a small number of our own events so we can see where the flow breaks: advancing a step in the listing form, submitting a home, submitting an agent profile claim, and starting an agent subscription. These events never include your name, email address, phone number, or street address — the submission event carries only the state, home condition, and selling timeline.
Google’s handling of this information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out across all sites with Google’s browser add-on, and browser-level tracking protection or an ad blocker will also prevent this collection. Blocking analytics does not affect your ability to post a home or receive proposals.
Service providers and disclosures
We use service providers for hosting, databases, security, communications, billing, analytics, and address validation. They may process information only to provide those services. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the service or its users, or as part of a corporate transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the listing, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse. We use access controls and database-level protections designed to separate homeowner contact information from agent-visible property information. No online system can promise absolute security.
Your choices
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information, subject to legal and operational retention requirements. You may withdraw a listing at any time. To make a privacy request, use the support path in our Answers center.
Children and changes
AnyHomeSold is not intended for children under 18. We may update this policy as the service changes; the effective date above identifies the current version.
